A rich student life

A flurry of student associations play a key part in the ENS de Lyon's campus life, whether in the fields of culture, the arts, sport or humanitarian action. The school also hosts myriad conferences, performances, concerts and exhibitions - exciting events for everyone.

ASSET, your new best friend
ASSET, the school's international students' club, works hard to make sure you ease into your new life in Lyon in the best possible way. Fédération des associations

The student club federation aims to pool resources (rooms, equipment, skills) and raise the profile of the ENS de Lyon and its clubs. [More]

Association sportive

Members of the sports association (AS) can attend lessons (tennis, badminton, yoga, etc.), go on hiking, skiing and climbing excursions, or simply take advantage of the campus facilities available 7 days a week (two gyms, one climbing wall, one tennis court, one fitness/dance room and two weights room with cardio machines). This student club defends free software, provides expertise in computer science and helps repair equipment. [More]


The Bureau des élèves brings together a large number of students of the ENS de Lyon around special events, parties and week-end trips -- staples include the Christmas ball, the annual Gala and the Garden Party, but also the Welcome Weekend (Weekend d'Intégration) in September. [More]


The student webradio TrENSistor, founded in 2009, features programs recorded each week in the school's studio. The website has four sections: news, culture, school and B-side. [More]


ENScène aims to support artistic creation within the ENS de Lyon and stages plays, concerts, movie screenings and dance performances, notably in the Kantor Theater. The club also offers discount tickets to Lyon's opera and main theaters. [More]


ENplaStik! promotes art (photography, drawing, painting, sculpture) through workshops, exhibitions and meetings with artists and curators. [More]

Champ Libre

Champ Libre is the club for movie buffs eager to bring out their inner Fellini, helping them produce their own short films and documentaries and hosting monthly screenings at the Kantor Theater. [More]

ENS de Lyon choir

The ENS de Lyon choir, which brings together students, teachers, researchers and staff but also people from outside the school, meets once a week and gives two series of concerts each year, in November and in May. [More]

Symphonic Orchestra

The Symphonic Orchestra is made of students from the ENS but also Lyon's top engineering and management schools, who meet for rehearsals each week. [More]


Confér’ENS is a club that helps every ENS de Lyon student, researcher or member of staff organize a conference or a seminar by providing logistical help, funding and practical tips. [More]


This club founded in 2013 aims to promote Latin American culture in Lyon through meetings, movie screenings, debates, lectures, poetry contests, raffles... Any other ideas welcome!


ENSeigner offers students the opportunity to try out teaching by working with secondary schools and helping students in trouble. [More]
